We recently acquired a VW GTI that we can slap wheels on for our photoshoots. We chose this particular year model which has the 5×100 bolt pattern so that we can easily switch wheels between this, our FRS and Bugeye. As soon as we had time to install the ST coilovers, we mounted up a set of 17×9 RT5s in Flat Black. Looks good in our opinion!
The 5×112 Grids are back by popular demand! We have restocked the Full Royal Silver color and also added Flat Black for those of you looking for a darker colored wheel. Get your set now since the 5×112 Grids only come in limited quantities.
Owner: Trae
Car: 2012 VW GTI
Wheels: 18×9.5 Rota Grid - White (5×114.3/e20/73)
Tires: 215/40/18 Toyo TS1’s
Suspension: Ultimo Suspension Setup
We shared the photo above on our Facebook page last Saturday and we got a lot of pretty interesting comments. Trae is the owner of this beautiful GTI which is definitely no trailer queen. Trae’s GTI looks pristine but it has already racked up 27,000 miles on the odo since May. As for his plans next year, Trae will be doing a wide body and respraying the car a new color. He will also be doing a turbo upgrade, new exhaust and a roll cage. He also plans to move up to 19 inch wheels. We can’t wait to see it all done but for now, let’s enjoy what Trae has done to his car so far.

Japan showing us some love. Hideki used a 15mm stud conversion kit to fit these Grids on his VW. The wheels definitely look good on his car!
