18″ Rota Titans on an Rommie’s FRS

The Titans have just been released in 18×9.5 +38 5×100. We carry them in both Gold and Hyper Black. We got a chance to shoot them on Rommies FRS this past week and man do they look good.

Customer: Rommie

Wheels: Titans 18×9.5 +38 5×100 Gold/Hyper Black
Tires: 235/40/18, 255/35/18
SuspensionBC Coilovers

We sold our shop FR-S recently and our next move was to find another FR-S to put our new wheels on. We did just that and found Rommie and his clean Whiteout FR-S, which pretty much looks similar to our old one.

We mounted up two different wheel styles in four different colors on Rommie’s car, starting with the 18×9.5 +38 GKR’s in Gunmetallic finish.

Scion FR-S on 17×9 Sports Bronze Titans - Track Action

Tires: Kumho V710 245/40/17
Suspension: BC Racing coilovers

If you’re looking for a great looking wheel without sacrificing performance, we’ve got just what you need. Believe it or not, the Rota Titans weigh less than the stock wheels, a big plus for those concerned with unsprung weight. This particular model is also wider than stock, which allows you to run meatier tires for that extra grip. Did we mention that the Titans look great and are very affordable? Definitely a must-have for FRS/BRZ/WRX owners who are more into performance.

Here’s a direct quote from Deep Six on ft86club, “With 245/40 ’s they weigh less than one pound over stock. Using my Titan’s as track specific with V710’s and I shaved 8 seconds off a 2 mile course (Roebling).”

And here’s a bonus video from Deep Six’s track session.

OjiGeorge from ft86club just posted up some pictures of his Whiteout FR-S rocking a staggered set of RT5’s in Hyper Silver. These wheels are easily becoming one our most popular styles.

Wheels: 17×9 Rota Grid - White (5×100/e35/73)
Tires: 215/45/18(stock tires)

There’s a reason why you’ve seen a lot of Scion FRS owners run the Rota Grids. They look great on this platform! The stock tires were used on this particular set up but if you look closer, you’ll see that there’s still a lot of room for meatier tires.
