Bill’s 2013 Subaru BRZ - Test Fitting 17×9 DPT’s

Owner: Bill
Car: 2013 Subaru BRZ
Wheels: 17×9 Rota DPT - Flat Black (5×100/114.3/e42/73)
Tires: 245/40/17 Hankook RS3

As soon as the BRZ’s release was announced in the US, Bill wasted no time and reserved one. As a result of his quick action, Bill was the first in line at his local dealership.

Meanwhile, Bill had a lot of time in his hands before he could finally get his hands on the BRZ so he carefully planned out his route for modding the car. One of the first things he had in mind was to change the wheels and tires of the car once he gets it. After weeks and weeks of doing homework, Bill came up to us ¬†and told us that he wanted the 17×9 +42 DPT’s which will be wrapped in 245/40/17 Hankook RS3’s for Auto-X events.

After months and months of waiting, Bill finally took delivery of his brand spanking new Satin White Pearl Subaru BRZ.

On the day that Bill got his BRZ, he immediately mounted one of the wheels to see how it fits.

Perfectly flush! No stretchy stretchy here, just plain meaty goodness.

Bill took a picture from underneath the bumper to see how much clearance there is from the tire to the strut. There’s still about 1/4 of an inch of space. This BRZ will be sitting on coilovers soon which will give a lot more clearance compared to the stock struts.

Bill will be mounting the full set of wheels this weekend so make sure you check back for that! And by the way, this car will be running 18″ wheels soon for its street set up. This should be exciting!
