Oh man, a car rocking a set of 18×10 Rota SVN wheels just made it to the cover of Modified Magazine! This is a BRAND NEW FITMENT for super aggressive Subarus in a dual bolt pattern. This GC8 is caged, built, and tuned to tear up the track. According to the article, it’s also got some spacers to push the wheels out to +5 offset in the front and +1 offset in the rear to fill out those massive custom installed Jun S13 Silvia fenders. This is easily one of the craziest customer cars to ever appear on our site. Congrats to Dave on getting the cover of Modified! Suby love, FTW!

Wheels: Rota Gravel 18×8.5 5×100 +44 - Gold
Ah, the new Rota Gravel wheels. These wheels looks like they belong on the new Subaru Imprezas. Looks great from behind! Haha.
Well folks, the new year’s approaching and Christmas is just a couple days away. Here’s a novel idea. How about you Subaru owners order yourself a set? Right now we have gunmetallic available to order and ship. Hyper black and hyper silver are available for pre-order. Please inquire within on updates on availability. This fitment is perfect for you Legacy GT owners who are still rollin’ on stock wheels. If you Suby owners missed out on a sweet pair of “Space Jam” Air Jordan XI’s while camping out somewhere online, this would be a neat consolation prize (not really, but a set of Rota Gravels would be pretty awesome)!
5×100, +48 offset, 56.1 hub bore (Subaru hub centric!) - CLEARS BREMBOS!
For now, here’s a photo of the 18×8.5 size in gunmetallic. It looks pretty much like this, but we’re OCD enough to want to wait until we take photos of the actual 18×8 Gravel sizes before posting them up.

GST Motorsports secures 2nd place in Unlimited AWD and 3rd Place Overall at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park, NV

Spring Mountain Motorsports Park, NV, 09/27/09 – The GST Motorsports Time Attack Racing Team takes 2nd in Unlimited AWD and 3rd Overall at Redline Time Attack Round 7, while overcoming developmental issues related to significant changes to the Hankook shod Subaru Impreza L race car.
The list of modifications between events was nothing short of monumental. Enhancements impacting aerodynamics, engine management, fuel delivery, power production, driveline dynamics, electrical systems and driver safety were implemented during the break. So much so that the team ran out of time and was unable to test the reworked race car prior to the event.
“Overall, I’m very pleased with taking 2nd in Unlimited AWD at this event”, said Gary Sheehan, driver for GST Motorsports. “The guys made massive changes to the car, and while we found ourselves in the unenviable position of racing with no testing time, the car performed admirably. Despite the heat, power production was awesome! The most we’ve ever had! But I was dealing with a brake imbalance problem that made getting the car into the corners very difficult. Once we get that resolved I will be able to take full advantage of our sticky Hankook Ventus Z214’s and we will be a force to be reckoned with.”
Mike Warfield, owner and engine tuner of GST Motorsports, had this to say about the team’s event; “The heat this weekend played havoc with the oiling and cooling systems, and an issue with the brakes proved very costly to the lap times. I am more than pleased with the end result. Looking over the data it would seem we are moving in the right direction with the changes we made leading up to this event. I feel with the braking issues fixed, better thermal management and more developmental testing time, we can look forward to the upcoming events with some real enthusiasm!”
GST Motorsports would like to thank their sponsors for their continued support: Hankook Tires, Cosworth, ATP Turbo, Wheeldude.com, COBB Tuning, Snap-On Tools and DeatschWerks.
Next up for the GST Motorsports team is Subiefest 09 where we will not be competing but giving rides to anyone that donates a can of food for charity at Willow Springs Raceway October 10th.
