We all know how much work you have to put on a car to get a feature on Modified Magazine. Dave did just that back in 2010 with his monster GC8 rocking 18×10 SVN-R’s in Flat Black. Dave was one of the first people to run these aggressive wheels which were intended to turn like its on rails at the track. Dave’s GC also ran some spacers to push the wheels out to +5 offset in the front and +1 offset in the rear to fill out those massive custom installed Jun S13 Silvia fenders. This has to be one of the craziest cars to ever grace the pages of wheeldude.com!

Two days ago, we posted up our Bugeye on Sports Bronze Titans. (Click HERE to see the previous feature.) Today we would like to show you the other side of the car, still rocking the Rota Titans but in Flat Black. These wheels fit great on the GD and they look pretty big for 17″ wheels. Let us know what you think!

If you haven’t been living under a rock, you will most definitely notice that Instagram is the “place to be” nowadays. Most of us “car people” are kept up to date on the trendy car stuff all because of this social networking app. I’m sure a lot of you can relate if we say that 90% of our Instagram feed consists of cars, mainly because we follow people who are also into the same hobby as we are. Then there are some car pages that we follow who regularly post the sickest rides out there, one of them is @subaru_vs_mitubishi, which brings us to the owner of the STI on this feature.
Meet Chris, the man behind @subaru_vs_mitsubishi on Instagram, and the proud owner of a 2011 STI rocking the 18×10 Rota RT5’s. The story was simple, Chris bought a used set of G-Forces, loved the look and strength of the wheels and when it was time to buy another set of wheels for his car, he googled “Rota” and he found us. Looking through the pictures on our website, Chris fell in love with the Grids but at the same time wanted something different. It was the perfect timing because the RT5’s were just released back then and as soon as Chris saw it, he was dead set on them.

Chris is the first guy to rock the 18×10 RT5’s on a GR body. Knowing that these wheels look good on any car you put them on, we can foresee that these wheels are going to start a trend just like the Rota Grids did.

One of Chris’ future plans would be to run meatier tires once his current tires run out. 265’s? 275’s? We can’t wait to see those on Chris’s STI!

We will leave you with this for now but count on it, Chris’ will be back with his updated set up real soon.
We would like to thank Jim Davis Photography and CFD Productions for the epic shots. Go like them on Facebook.

Wheels: 17×9 Rota Titan - Sports Bronze (5×100/e42/73)
Tires: 245/40/17
Suspension: JIC Coilovers
Just a couple of weeks ago, these wheels were on our shop FR-S. Since a lot of our followers wanted to see these wheels on a WRX, we wasted no time and threw it on our bugeye. The 17×9 Titans weigh in at only 17.8lbs each, which are pretty light for their size. This is the perfect wheel for those who are into autocross or for those who are trying to squeeze out every bit of performance in their cars.

It’s been almost a year since the Dude’s STI was sold and we have to admit that we miss seeing it at the shop.

Wheels: 18×9.5 Rota RT5 - Hyper Silver (5×100/e38/73)
Tires: 235/40/18
Suspension: JIC Coilovers
It was time to take the Bugeye out of storage once again for another photoshoot. This time we’re featuring the 18×9.5 Rota RT5’s in a +38 offset made specially for the WRX. This wheel looks exactly the same as the 18×10 version so you can get that look without needing too much work to make the wheels fit.

Wheels: Rota DPT 18×9.5 5×100/5×114.3 +22 73hb Flat Black
Tires: 255/35/18 Bridgestone RE01 RFT
Suspension: Helix DNA Coilovers
Time to bring back one of the best and most aggressive looking Bugeye’s out there. If you are on NASIOC quite often, con10der8 would be a familiar name to you. He’s pretty active on a lot of threads especially the Bugeye thread which he considers his home.
con10der8’s Bugeye is rocking the 18×9.5 +22 DPT’s in Flat Black. He chose to go with 255/35/18 to maintain the car’s functionality. Props to him for running a meaty set up on some low offset wheels!

Wheels: 18×10 Rota SVN-R - Hyper Black (5×100/114.3/E30/73)
Tires: 255/35/18 NT555
Suspension: Raceland coilovers
The days when you can’t run aggressive wheels on a daily driver are over. Take a look at Tyler’s WRX and you’ll see. According to him, these wheels compliment the newer “widebody” WRX and have just enough poke to be aggressive and you will still be able to run wide tires for those weekend mountain runs.
Tyler would like to thank his wife Sylvia, who pilots this car most days and for putting up with all the garage time Tyler has in it already!

Gotta love that meaty and functional set up! Those extra wide tires have grip for days. Perfect for those occasional canyon runs.

This set up is the best compromise between looks and functionality. Here’s what Cory has to say “Love these wheels!!! My third set of rotas charging through snow, mud, dirt, gravel and many potholes with no problems!!”
Cory would like to thank his lovely girl Sam Kinard for the awesome pictures!!!
