In the automotive scene, we tend to get carried away with our cars.  It often times comes to the point where we need a second car as our initial project becomes either unbearable to drive daily or is on jackstands longer than we expected.  Often times, we find something that’s barely running, smells of old people, and is older than we are.  This isn’t the case for Jas, owner of this 350z.

“I’ve got a fully built Evo that ran a 10.7,” Jas exclaims.  Jas has owned the car for a little more than a year, throwing on basic bolt ons along the way.  “It runs a 13, but it’s a fun car to drive around on the streets, but it’s an on going project.”  Jas tells us that the car is soon going to recieve an off the shelf twin turbo kit.

With a 10 second EVO, you would imagine that Jas’ daily driven Z to have a decent amount of bolt ons.  You would be correct; Under the hood, Jas hasn’t left much alone.  Things that the average street driven car wouldn’t have, from Turbo XS Utec to an Unorthodox Racing Pulley, every ounce of power was squeezed out of Nissan’s proven 350z.

“The car is perfect to drive when it is a nice sunny day, spring like weather, and  the car is clean and ready for whatever you throw at it.  It’s awesome when you’ve got the windows down and can drive the car without it getting too hot, unlike my EVO,” Jas says.  The practicality of the car is on point.  Where the EVO would have a hard time going light to light in hot weather, the Z would drive with no worries.  To match the mods under the bonnet, Jas added simple touches to the exterior.  “It’s got a Nismo lip kit all around, which gives the car the right look without being too over the top.”  The wheel choice is great as well, 18×9.5 P45Rs in Hyper Silver.  It allows the unique orange that Jas’ Z to stand out and offset the silver.

With any build, whether mild like Jas’ Z or his 10 second EVO, one has to consider everything in the build.  “It’s all about learning the car before you start modifying it,” Jas preaches.  “Just cause you have a fast car doesn’t mean you can handle it!  Learn the car, learn its limits, learn your limits, and then start to modify it.”  As for his EVO…it also has a set of Rota Boosts, so look for it soon in an upcoming feature…
