Color?  They’re Satin Black with polished trim.  Pictures don’t do justice; the wheels look money in person.  Can’t wait to post up pictures of the customer’s setup when he/she sends us pictures!

Step Your Game Up - Alan Dang’s WRX

Step Your Game Up

Words by Gabriel Ronquillo

Snaps by Alan Dang

More often than not, people are unsatisfied with whatever it is that they have.  Someone always has a bigger TV, someone has cooler jeans, someone else is in better shape.  In the midst of all the comparisons, there is typically one thing we can say we’re proud of or capable of that others’ cannot claim stake to.  Alan just has the right combination to be one of those guys we can be jealous of.

“My favorite part about the car is the wheels…you just don’t see this setup everyday and there are only a handful of cars that have it on the forum,” Alan tells us.  Rightly so.  You see, Alan’s car is sitting on one of the more aggressive setups that we offer; 18×9 +35 offset G-Forces.  The wheel absolutely fills the wheel well, properly at that, giving it a stance that is now storming the scene; low offset, wide, and flush.  When asked about his biggest issue with the car, he had stated the wheel choice was.  “The wheels are dope and it took me awhile, but after I decided, I slipped Dan (@ Wheeldude) a couple of Benji’s and he hooked me up.”
Pulling off this stance is no easy task. Springs and shocks?  Nope; you’re going to need coilovers to pull this look off, and in Alan’s case, a set of Megan Racing Street Coilovers help him put the car in it’s current stance.  “I love the way the car just looks…it’s not too low to be unbearable and it’s not too high to look unattractive.”  Rightly so, as the car looks just as fast sitting still as it does rolling.  To compliment the ride height, Alan also has Cusco front lip and Kstech Hood Scoopflowing with the rest of the Subaru’s already aggressive body lines.  “I love driving this car where there will be scantily clad women,” jokes Alan.  “Anywhere that I can parking lot pimp…you can find me there.”

Even with the package sitting nice and pretty, Alan says that there is more to come.  “I’ve got plans for the car, but if money were no object, I’d have a full STi swap on the car,” explains Alan.  With aspirations like that, it will be quite interesting to see what he has in store.
Words of advice?  “If you can’t pay in cash, you can’t afford it,” states Alan.
